With the CSH2T seriesfor example for applications with fluid outlet temperatures of up to +120°C, the company not only offers its customers a suitable compressor for efficient system designs in the expanding market of high temperature heat pumps, but also supports users with a comprehensive range of advice services.

Efficient control with VARIPACK frequency inverter

CSH2T compressors are suitable for operation with the refrigerants R1233zd(E) and R245fa and come in four displacement volumes – 742 m3/h (CSH2T9563), 845 m3/h (CSH2T9573), 972 m3/h (CSH2T9583) and 1098 m3/h (CSH2T9593, exclusive for R1233zd(E)) each at 60 Hz– for use exclusively with the BITZER external VARIPACK frequency inverter. This combination enables efficient control of compressor speed and ensures maximum operating reliability for this complex system technology. Applications with hydrocarbons are also planned.

High performance for high temperature heat pumps

With evaporation temperatures between +20°C and +80°C and condensing temperatures between +55°C and +125°C, the CSH2T series supports fluid outlet temperatures of up to +120°C. Heating capacities of up to 1,1 MW* per compressor are possible (*operating conditions: t0 = +70°C, tC = +120°C at 60 Hz, design: CSH2T9593-280Y-35D with R1233zd(E) in economiser operation). CSH2T compressors are therefore the ideal high-performance core in many high-temperature applications.

Thanks to the integrated oil separator and suction gas cooled high-temperature motor, the CSH2T series enables compact system dimensions. The compressors are fitted with the SE-i1 compressor protection device as standard, which ensures reliable operation by monitoring motor and discharge gas temperatures as well as low and high pressure and the direction of rotor rotation.Optionally, the compressors can be equipped with an oil temperature sensor and a suction gas temperature sensor. The BEST SOFTWARE can be incorporated to visualise and evaluate operating data and thus assist with compressor commissioning and maintenance.

Optimally matched heat exchangers

For efficient high temperature heat pumps, BITZER also offers heat exchangers that are optimally matched to the compact screw compressors of the CSH2T series. The water-cooled shell and tube condensers of the KE series are available in a capacity range between 8 and 2600 kW. Their design is aimed at maximum efficiency and allows for minimal temperature differences between the water outlet and the condensing temperatures of the refrigerant. The KE series includes various configuration options, providing the right choice for every project requirement with easy integration into the system.

The direct expansion evaporators of the SQD series have also been optimised for the demanding operating conditions in high temperature heat pumps and complement the CSH2T compressors perfectly. The unique square design offers particularly large heat transfer surfaces. The SQD series also features a patented refrigerant distribution system that ensures high efficiency. The extensive selection of models allows for optimal adaptation to different project requirements.
