Exclusive for participants at HTHP Symposium 2022!

Choose between four different sites and installations.


As an add-on to the presentations and discussions at the High-Temperature Heat Pump Symposium 2022, you have the possibility to participate in site visits. You can get a guided tour at one of three industrial heat pump installations for district heating or you can visit the testing facilities of the technology supplier Weel & Sandvig.

Transportation to the sites will be arranged by the HTHP Symposium, and after the site visits, the busses you will transport you to a place with easy access to public transportation and connection to the main train station/airport if not available close by at walking distance.

The site visits require registration prior to the event.

Please note that the registrations are distributed according to a first-come, first-served policy, and they will close when the maximum number of participants has been reached.

If you are not registered for this year's symposium, you registration for a site visit will not be approved, and your seat will be assigned to another participant at HTHP Symposium 2022.

* Please note that the duration of each guided tour is exclusive of transportation to and from the different sites.

1: Steam Compressor Test Rig at Weel & Sandvig

This site visit is organized by Weel & Sandvig to present their test rig for their two-stage steam compression system based on turbo-compressors.

The tour is estimated to take approx. 30 minutes.

2: FlexHeat Heat Pump in Nordhavn

The Flexheat Heat Pump is operated by HOFOR, and it has been developed as a system with high flexibility in order to be able to operate with fast regulation and provision of frequency reserves to the electricity grid.

Availability: 25 people.

3: 16 MW Air-Source Heat Pump for District Heating in Farum

This site visit will bring you to the 16 MW air-source heat pump which is installed at Farum District Heating. The heat pump began operating in the beginning of 2021, and it is located in Farum/Farremosen.

Availability: 40 people.

The tour is estimated to take approx. 45 minutes.

4: Innovative heat pump system at Tårnby Forsyning

The new energy central at Tårnby Forsyning is an innovative heat pump system which combines heating and cooling with waste water and groundwater. The system won the EHPA award for heat pump project of the year in 2020 in the category DecarbIndustry.
